Slings
Selecting the most suitable hoist and sling is important to ensure these are appropriate for the patient/resident and for the type of transfer being carried out. Many variations, styles and sizes of slings are available to meet a variety of specific patient or resident needs:
• Disposable slings - Our patient-specific disposable slings (Flites), for efficient, hygienic lifting routines come with either clip or loop attachments for passive seated lifting, as a soft stretcher and for Arjo standing and raising aids
• Clip slings - The Dynamic Positioning System (DPS) system allows the caregiver to position the patients/residents in the sling – from upright to reclined – with minimum physical effort. A range of different clip slings are available, in a wide variety of sizes
• Loop Slings - Comfortable loop slings for ceiling and passive floor hoists
• Bariatric slings - The different body shapes of bariatric patients/residents require different sling solutions, Arjo has developed a range of sling types to meet these various needs
• Lateral transfer and repositioning slings - In addition to standard slings, we also supply comfortable sling solutions for repositioning in bed and transfers in a supine position
• Standing and raising aid slings - Standing and raising aids enable patients/residents to be raised up from a bed, chair, toilet or wheelchair for transfer or transportation. Our range of standing slings include disposable, wipeable and washable options.
