Canine herpes virus (CHV) is also commonly referred to as “fading puppy syndrome”, a virus that is a member of the Herpesviridae family which is often responsible for fatal hemorrhagic disease especially in puppies that are under 2-3 weeks old. Due to the fact that the thermos regulation of young pups does not function well, this can lead the virus multiplying rapidly and causing the pups to be heavily infected.
