Deoxynivalenol (also referred to as DON or vomitoxin) is an epoxy-sesquiterpenoid, a particular type of B trichothecene. It is usually found to co-exist with a number of other toxins which are produced by the same organism that is able produce this toxin, (in particular especially zearalenone).
