Automated XY Positioning Systems for Electron Microscopy

Electron microscopy shares the same fundamental challenge as laser-scanning microscopy: an entire surface gets divided into sections and scanned individually at extremely high resolution, and any inaccuracy in table positioning shows up immediately in the resulting image. WEISS's high-precision XY tables are built to meet this challenge, providing the extremely high running accuracy electron microscopy automation depends on. Supplemented with a Z axis for focusing, the same platform handles both the lateral positioning and the depth adjustment electron microscopy requires, without needing separate systems for each axis.
